JLL advises the City of Helsinki on the sale of the iconic Kappeli property in Helsinki CBD
HELSINKI 01.06.2020 - The City of Helsinki is entering an agreement to sell the iconic Kappeli property. The property is sold in an open tender process to HOK-Elanto, which has been the tenant at the Kappeli property since 1976.
The Kappeli property is one of the best-known buildings in Helsinki CBD and the landmark property is located in the middle of the Esplanade Park. The oldest part of the property is designed by architect Axel Hampus Dalström and it was built between 1865-1867. Kappeli comprises approximately 1,100 sq m of restaurant premises and a large terrace to the park.
The purchase price is 20 million euros. JLL is acting as the City of Helsinki’s sole commercial advisor in the transaction.
